The gastronomy of La Noguera is based on the best products from its vegetable gardens, woods, drylands, orchards, vineyards and olive groves, accompanied by the best meat provided by the local game, pastures, farms and yards. In this territory, more than in any other, it is possible to taste quality local products such as: olive oil, honey, nougat, cheese, coca de recapte (a type of savoury pizza), and grilled snails, accompanied by exquisite local wines (from the cellars of Castell del Remei, Artesa de Lleida, Baldomar, and Algerri – all with the D.O. Costers del Segre and to delight in tasty, traditional, cuisine that is closely associated with the landscapes that have produced it.
